Happy Halloween

This year Uncle Anthony picked out and purchased Quinn's Halloween costume.  We're taking offers on next year already.  Who's buying the next one?

Although Quinn hates having things on his head, we were pleasantly surprised to find him so excited to be transformed into a cow.  He wore his costume for the first time on Sunday and could not stop looking in mirrors and laughing and smiling.  He was so excited about his cow's "eyeeees" and really realized that he was dressed as a cow.  How do we know?  Why he walked around mooing of course.

Tonight when I pulled out his costume, Quinn couldn't get his clothes of fast enough and his arms through the costume sleeves.  I'd have to say Halloween was a booming success.

Thanks Uncle Anthony for the killer costume.  Don't forget to watch Quinn's video at the end of this post :)

Breakfast of Champions

Who says we're always eating healthy in the Pope House?  Okay, you'd be right about 95% of the time.  Quinn on the other hand decided this was not the morning for healthy eating.  As we were putting our pantry back together we looked up to find him eating his Breakfast of Champions.  NICE...NICE QUINN!

Happy Monday!  Enjoy your week.

Fall Fun

After our first failed attempt at a pumpkin patch, we decided to take another stab at it.  This time we found a legitimate pumpkin patch, not  just a trailer filled with pumpkins, and had a blast.  My mom was in town to enjoy it with us.  Enjoy the pics...

A Fabulous Fall Weekend

Good times in the Pope House this weekend.  Brad and I hosted our 3rd Annual Catfish Campout though we're going to have to change the name of it since no one seems to campout after the first year =)  A small crowd of 25-30 showed up to deep fry anything we could get our hands on including green beans, mushrooms, zucchini, macaroni and cheese, pickles, Reese's PB Cups, pizza, strawberries, and my favorite...bananas.  Sadly, no catfish made it into the oil or out of the lake for that matter.

Saturday was a lazy yet fun day outside enjoying the beautiful fall day.  Quinn and I spent over 2 hours coloring with chalk on the driveway (his new favorite thing to do) before coming in and cooking in my new kitchen for the first time.  The kitchen, by the way, is GORGEOUS!  I am so pleased with it...pictures to come when it is 100% complete.

YUMMY Spaghetti

After a freezing cold 8.5 mile run this morning, the temperatures finally started to rise and we decided to go to the pumpkin patch.  Well...I chose a LOSER pumpkin patch (that's for sure).  The only pumpkins they had were in a trailer and there was nothing else to do there.  Next weekend, I'm thinking of doing a little detective work and finding a REAL pumpkin patch to take Quinn to.  Nonetheless, we had a good time.  Quinn liked climbing around in the pumpkins and testing his brute strength while lifting up the biggest pumpkins.

This One Looks Good

After a weekend like this, I truly question who decided that weekends should only be 2 days long?!!?!
