Life's A Beach

Vacation is the most underrated thing in the world.  I mean honestly, what is not absolutely perfect about stepping outside of your daily routine, outside of your element, and having nothing to do other than whatever moves you?  We have decided that it takes 3 days to completely unwind and relax and then you need at least 4 more days of stress free living.

This past week, we hit up Longboat Key, Florida.  It is an amazing little key just outside of Sarasota near Siesta Key and Anna Marie Island.  We had no idea where we were truly going when we booked our trip to this little key, but are so glad we ventured out and tried something new.  Our condo was literally steps away from the where the tide broke, our porch looked right out onto the water, we were in and out all day long, and the beach was our playground.

The first few days of our trip Michelle, Fred, and Baby Teagan came down to join us.  Quinn got a taste of what it was like to have to share (he has major only child syndrome) and Teagan, for some reason, just adored her cousin even when he would "hip-check" her to get her out of his way.  We spent our days walking the beach, digging in the sand, picking up seashells, jumping waves, and equally enjoying the sunshine and our naps.

Enjoy a few of our hundreds of pictures that we took!

Uncle Anthony (cont).

Uncle Anthony just sent us the videos he took last weekend and I had to share them.  Now you'll understand what I mean when I say he teased Quinn mercilessly!  (It was so good for Quinn by the way).

Uncle Anthony Was Here...and left his mark on everyone :)

Brad and I are so blessed that even though we live so far from our families, they all make such a great effort to be a part of our lives.  Uncle Anthony made his way here from DC this past weekend and did he ever leave his mark!  Quinn learned to sing for his food, to catch Uncle Anthony off guard if he ever wanted to give him a kiss, and to deal with a whole lot of teasing.

We had the busiest day on Saturday going to The NWA Pride Parade, Fayetteville Farmer's Market, shopping, naps, splash park and regular park.  Though Quinn wasn't too into the Splash Park, Uncle Anthony was sure thrilled that we got to go...

Uncle Anthony - the wild man!

Quinn was much happier jumping and playing on the ledge

Though he did spend a little time in the water

Great end to a fun day

Captain Quinn

Quinn is loving living on the lake and even more so, he is loving being on the boat.  It's not so much because he can relax, have a cold one, or just enjoy the peacefulness of the water...nope...it's because of his thrill of speed.
